Whatsapp group member Etiquette

(because we're respectful and thoughtful :D)

Basic Rules:

• Please restrict group messages to essential and efficient messaging

  • No introducing yourself

  • No thank you messages to other people’s great work

• Post information that is revelatory or helpful

  • with source

  • (and ideally)

    • ideas for next steps

    • Create and share Link to Public Google doc where you want people to come and collaborate and flush out in real-time with you

      • (may move that here soon too)

• Personal message each other for small asks, and repost the Results of discussions as much as possible on the whatsapp group for everyone’s benefit

  • With permission, please

  • Anyone who is reported by another member for unnecessary, over-eager calling, messages them will be removed from our group.

  • Please allow all of us to respect each other as we collaborate together

• Message each other in the Chat windows of the Google Docs you create to brainstorm / discuss specific things

• Everyone is highly encouraged to create documentation and Link back in Main Google Doc appropriately

• Discussions are great. Please make a separate Google doc per Aspect / Task to discuss and record points for and points against there.

  • (if we can figure out GitBook, we may move here. Until then, have fun in your gdocs)

• Limit discussions to having a Bias to Action.

• Check-in Frequency Announcement / Request :

  For those who I know are working on something specific right now (Samrat, Prathima, Gaurav), please post a check-in update to this group once every 2 hours. so one at 6pm, and then 8pm, etc. and finally one whenever your EOD definition is.
